Common Entrance Test (TS ECET 2017)
is conducted for admission to B.Tech parallel/lateral entry passage and
B.Pharma course. Just Diploma Holders and B.Sc.(Mathematics) Degree Holders
hopefuls may apply to this test. This test is directed by the JNTU, Hyderabad
in the interest of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).
This is a state level passage test offered for competitors having a place with

TS ECET 2017 Application Form
TS ECET
2017 application will be acknowledged through online mode as it were. It is
normal that the application frame will be reported/ informed in the second week
of March, 2017 (probably). Applicants can fill the application frame through the
online entrance of TS ECET 2017. Installment should be possible by means of AP
Online/TS Online and Eseva/Meseva or through Mastercard/charge card. Applicants
need to pay the enrollment charge of Rs. 800/ - (for general applicants) and
Rs. 400/ - (for SC/ST hopefuls) without late charge.
Eligibility Criteria to appear for TSECET-2016:
Candidates should satisfy the following requirements to be eligible for appearing at the TSECET [FDH
& B.Sc. (Mathematics)]-2016.
(i) They should be of Indian Nationality.
(ii) They should belong to the State of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh. The candidates should satisfy local/nonlocal
status requirements as laid down in the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order,
1974 as subsequently amended. The same is adapted to the state of Telangana G.O.Ms.33 dated 31.12.2014
(iii) They should have obtained a Diploma in Engineering/Technology/ Pharmacy from the State Board of
Technical Education of Telangana State/Andhra Pradesh or any other Diploma recognized by the Government
of Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh as equivalent there to for admission into the relevant B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Pharm.

They should have passed the 3-year B.Sc Degree examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the
group combination from a recognized University in the Telangana/Andhra Pradesh state or its equivalent for
entry into relevant courses as given in the Annexure.
(iv) Candidates who are pursuing a Diploma course shall be eligible for entry into the relevant B.E./B.Tech./B.
Pharmacy courses provided they have completed the practical training prescribed for the award of diploma
course before admission into the college.
(v) Candidates should have passed Diploma in Engineering/Technology/ Pharmacy/ B.Sc (Mathematics) Degree
as the case may be with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) for
entry into relevant courses.
Eligibility for admission into B.E./B.Tech./B.Pharm.:
(1) For lateral admission into 2nd year regular B.E. / B.Tech. Courses in both University and Un-Aided Private
Professional institutions (Minority & non-Minority) approved by All India Council for Technical Education.
(2) For lateral admission into 2nd year regular B. Pharmacy Course in both University and private un-Aided
professional institutions (Minority & Non-Minority) approved by Pharmacy Council of India.
Candidates should have appeared and qualified at the TSECET-2016. Mere appearance at the Entrance Test
does not automatically entitle a candidate to be considered for entry into any course unless the candidate
satisfies the requirement of eligibility and other criteria laid down in the rules of admission.
Admission to 85% of the seats in each course shall be reserved for the local candidates and the remaining 15%
of the seats shall be un-reserved seats as specified in the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Educational
Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended.competitors).

The
question paper of TS ECET 2017 will be consisted of 200 marks distributed
into 200 objective type questions. Each question contains one mark. The
duration of the examination will be 3 hours (10:00 a.m. to
1:00 p.m.).
Qualifying Marks in ECET:
Just the
individuals who have acquired 25% total marks in the four subjects (three
subjects for B.Sc. Science) are qualified for getting a rank. No base/minimum
qualifying marks for SC/ST applicants. It is obligatory for the contender to
get 50 marks out of a sum of 200 to be qualified for rank.

TS ECET
2017 admit cards will be issued in the initial week of May (speculative) just
for those hopefuls who have effectively presented their online application form.
